About Our Owner
Just the person that you want in charge of your bookkeeping, a self proclaimed nerd with a love of crunching numbers and an affinity for helping others. Emily Lamar grew up in the mountains of WNC. Her mother bought a restaurant when Emily was in her late teens. It was a family affair; she baked the desserts and learned to do the bookkeeping. Through the years she had numerous rolls in the restaurant and was a integral part of its growth. Twenty-two years after her mother bought it she purchased the restaurant with a good friend and continues on as owner/operational manager. With her experience she wanted to be able to help others, woman especially who were running small business and could use the knowledge that she has gained over the years to better their businesses’’, thus She Means Business was born.
When she isn’t working she is enjoying the mountains, spending time with her family, or nerding out at events or with friends. She is especially fond of Wonder Woman as you might have noticed. A secretary with a secret life of helping people just hits home.
